Call For Proposals: AAWAZ Response Fund

Respected NGOs/Individuals,

The AAWAZ programme is a five-year Voice and Accountability programme in Pakistan to strengthen civil society, funded by DFID and managed by DAI and partners which include leading civil society organizations of Pakistan. The programme focuses on democratic processes in Pakistan and ways of making them more open, inclusive and accountable to citizens

The specific themes under which projects have to be developed to be eligible for Response Fund support are the following: 
1.  Community based initiatives for pre-emption of conflict and/or violence against women;
2.  Fostering inclusion of differently abled (or disabled) persons
3. Demonstration of innovative approaches in service delivery for health and education

Maximum Limits of Grant
The maximum limit of funding id GBP 160,000/-.
Duration of the Project
1 Year

IHRO Call for Abstracts for 15th National Human Rights Conference 2015

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
15th Annual National Human Rights Conference on International Day of Human Rights 2015
 
International Human Rights Observer (IHRO) Pakistan enjoys Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and commemorates International day of Human Rights every year with great commitment on national and International level. IHRO-Pakistan is organizing its 15th Annual National Annual Human Rights Conference from 9-10 December 2015 in Islamabad to commemorate International Day of Human Rights 2015.

The conference will give the opportunity to highlight the “UN Sustainable Development Goals and Human Rights”. Along with other human rights issues  and will focus on the following themes: 
 
Ø  Implementing the United Nations SDGs: Initiating for better Human Rights
Ø  Role of civil Society and  National  Human Rights Institutions 
Ø  Effective accountability mechanisms, addressing the duties of State for  SDGs
Ø  Development on Women, children and minority rights
Ø  Free Media , human rights and democracy in Pakistan
Ø  Human Rights and Business to achieve the SDGs
Ø  Extremism and violence against Minorities in India and regional peace
Ø  Impact of Terrorism on Human Rights and Peace  in the global regions

The IHRO welcomes abstracts from experts from government, academia, the United Nations, international agencies, NGOs, and grassroots organizers.

Deadline
The deadline for abstracts is 5th December 2015. Decision will be communicated to authors within two days of this deadline. Authors of selected abstracts are required to prepare full papers (3-5 pages) by end of 5th December 2015. Only authors who submitted full papers will be invited to present their work at the conference.
